Both the path and GPT.INI (almost empty) are there and correct. But the URL to access it is incorrect. It seems to forget to add the name of the computer to the Domain Name. AD Domain Services works fine But because Group Policy is inaccessible. I tried finding the location anywhere the url could be located, including the registry, but I was unsuccessful. Does anyone out there know where I need to go to fix this problem? Help!!!
Yes, GPMT is installed. Some changes I made to the SysLink entries in the registry under 'group policy' must have helped! Because now I can access some policy pages in 'Server Manager', Group Policy Management', without an error popping up. At least until I try to access the 'Security Settings' page, then it say's "An error has occurred while collecting data for the 'Security Configuration Engine (SCE) Extentions'". Also, there are incomplete paths except for secedit and the registry.pol under 'Machine' does exist. And there are no 'WMI Filters' to set. It almost seems like I need to uninstall and reinstall 'Group Policy'. Anyone have ant thoughts on how to fix this problem?
