Hi all,
We have one AD domain that uses a mix of 2003 and 2008 servers. Currently the primary AD zone that all of our DCs update is on a non-DC server. We are going to be turning DNS on one of our DCs in order to use AD integrated zones and have all
of our DCs point to that one for their primary DNS instead. One question:
1. The most important things that update our AD zone are our DCs and our Exchange servers. Once we make the zone on the new sever, we have to change the primary DNS server for all of our DCs and Exchange servers to point to it, and then reboot them. Upon rebooting, they should automatically update the zone with all of the necessary info, correct?
The only reason I ask the above question is because I fear that some info that go put on our current AD zone during installation of a DC or exchange server will somehow not get added to the new zone by simply rebooting the machines.
