Weird "Access denied" issue on Domain Controllers

Hi there

We have a 2003 AD Domain comprised of 1 main site and multiple branch sites. We have picked up a weird issue with 3 of our branches, where if I try doing a \\DCname\C$ or a new view \\DCname I get "Access denied". However, if I do this from a server on the same site, it works fine.

Also check AD (dcdiag) and all is 100%, replication is working ect.

Stumped at this stage as to what the issue could be.
