NTP Time, ISA 2006, a PDC, a DC and a bunch of other computers...

I was thrust into a Network Admin position that I prob am not very qualified for... lol

I am trying to get the forest NTP time worked out - there were apparently long-standing errors and related issues.

What I have already accomplished: I have the ISA 2006 Server set up and syncing with an external ntp pool address. I have created and verified the rule to allow this traffic through.

Now - am I supposed to have the PDC and DC then sync with the ISA server? Then the rest of the servers and computers should automatically look for those 2 to sync themselves???

I have tried running "w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:srv-fwall-03.benchmark.corp,0x1 /syncfromflags:manual /reliable:yes /update" on the PDC - then start, stop w32tm, but when I resync, it fails. I assume this should be run on the PDC as well as the DC.

I assume after I DO get this to work, I need to run "w32tm /config /syncfromflags:domhier /update" on the other servers to make sure they sync with the PDC. I assume that I should use group policy for the domain user's computers to sync.

I know this is prob something stupid that I just don't understand, but any info would be great. :)
